Steve served as a festival guide for Nate Powell at the 2006 Arkansas Literary Festival. Nate is an artist for graphic (cartoon) novels. Other duties assigned for Steve included picking up writers George Singleton and Michael Kaufman at the Little Rock airport.
Arkansas author, Gary Weibye, showed Steve "The View" from Gary's back porch in Newton County. Steve had conducted a presentation at the county library.
Mike, who owns Cliff House Inn and Restaurant with his wife Becky, stands next to the book rack, which includes Steve's. Thank you Mike and Becky! The restaurant is one of Steve's five favorite in Arkansas. A must stop if you visit Jasper, Arkansas, in Newton County.
